Christie Pits Park is a new site for 2025, and arguably the most urban site TNS has been granted stewardship, to date. This park is beloved by so many different people and communities across the city. We face an interesting challenge with our stewardship areas of this site being mostly sloped lawns, and a small sloped wooded area we are allowed to work in on the east side. This first year, we will be focusing on slow progress and care for the site, and creating connections and conversations about this land: past, present, and future. How can we best care for our wildlife on a changed landscape, without restricting the urban uses of Christie Pits that people rely on and love? Come share your stories with us on Monday nights every other week this season.
