Prairie Drive Park, located on the east side of Pharmacy north of Danforth, is adjacent to Warden Woods and the Taylor-Massey Creek network of ravine parks. Prairie Drive Park also serves the local community with facilities including tennis courts, a wading pool, and the Prairie Drive Park Community Gardens. While much of the park is open turf areas, there is an expansive wooded area covering a slope at the north edge of the park and flat areas at the top of the slope.
Stewardship activities occur in the flat areas and include removal of invasive plant species, such as garlic mustard, dog strangling vine and burdock as well as litter removal. As a site for TNS since 2022, we hope to engage the local community in stewardship activities to learn about the local ecology, help manage invasive species, and participate in stewardship of Prairie Drive Park.
