Transit: Line 2 to Donlands, #83 Jones bus south to Leslie Street & Commissioner, walk 10 min south. Or, take Line 1 to Queen, take #501, 502, 503 to Queen & Leslie, walk 20 min south. Driving: Access by either Cherry St or Leslie St. Parking available. Bike: Right off the Martin Goodwin Trail.
This constructed peninsula extends 5 kilometres into Lake Ontario and is over 500 hectares. It has wildflower meadows, cottonwood forests, coastal marshes, cobble beaches, sand dunes. Wildlife and birds make it one of the best nature-watching areas. People also come for hiking, cycling, biking, rollerblading, fishing. No dogs since it’s a wildlife sanctuary. Visiting hours are evenings and weekends.
